Cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin and Ethereum have fallen even farther despite a mild recovery from a downtrodden December crypto season.


Bitcoin showed signs of recovery Friday, New Year’s eve amid a week-long downward trend. The digital coin sits at around $46,000, in US dollars.

Cryptocurrencies saw a sudden collapse in the early days of December, which the coins have widely struggled to recover from, dropping around $25,000 in value. It began to recover in the week prior, but slipped following the holidays.

Other coins such as Ethereum and Binance Coin have similarly fallen alongside Bitcoin, as most of the market reels.
